Vest sees banned dog back in pub

A dog banned from a pub for chewing up its beer mats has been allowed back in - but only if she wears a high visibility vest.

Hatty the Lakeland terrier must be visible at all times to landlord Nigel McLelland at the Jolly Sailor in Prestatyn, north Wales.

Owner Jeff Hughes, 35, admits his pet 'goes berserk' when she sees beer mats, chomping her way through up to 50 an hour.

The landlord, 57, said of the vest: 'It's a bit of a joke. We thought of a hard hat and muzzle but that was going too far.'
