A dying dog has had its life saved - by sex drug Viagra.
Owner David Roach took springer spaniel Bentley to the vet after lungworm spread to a heart artery.
As the seven-year-old dog went into heart failure, vet Ben Harris turned to erectile dysfunction treatment Viagra, which works by relaxing blood vessels.
Now weeks later, Bentley is back to his best. Mr Roach, of East Finchley, north London, said Bentley would be on the drug for the rest of his life - without any sexy side-effects.
'He was neutered when he was very little, so he's never had a very active reproductive life,' he added.
