Doctors have seen some strange things in their time but imagine their surprise when they had to free a man from a toilet seat.
They were called in when the unlucky 35-year-old found himself stuck to the stainless steel public toilet after a prankster smeared it with superglue.
An ambulance crew couldn't free the man so they removed the toilet and took him to hospital still attached to the seat.
A doctor used special chemicals to free the man while he was still inside the ambulance after the ordeal on Saturday afternoon.
'It appears as though someone left glue on it,' said an ambulance spokesman.
'The victim appeared to be none the worse for his ordeal other than being somewhat embarrassed.'
The toilet, meanwhile, was returned to the public conveniences in Brierley Hill near Dudley, West Midlands.
